Tom Stranberg

Senior Financial Analyst, Accounting & Finance

Thomas “Tom” Stranberg is a Senior Financial Analyst on the FP&A team at Cambridge Associates, based in the Boston office. He joined the firm in April 2022 and brings a background in finance from his previous roles at Wayfair and the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston.

Thomas is a passionate advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion, currently serving as Co-Chair of CA Allies, CA’s Employee Resource Group (ERG) focused on promoting active allyship and inclusion within the firm. Thomas served as Parliamentarian since the ERG’s inception, has participated in Bystander prevention training, and has received certifications as a Diversity Peer Educator.

Before joining Cambridge Associates, Thomas earned his Finance degree from UMass Lowell’s Manning School of Business. He held several leadership roles such as President of the Beta Gamma Sigma Honors Society, served on the Manning Leaders Council to the Dean, Vice Chair within Student Government, and Vice President of the Business Analytics Society. He led UMass Lowell’s first winning team in the International Business Ethics Case Competition in 2021 and achieved a top 50 placement in the Global Bloomberg Stock Trading competition.

Thomas’s professional experience spans education, e-commerce, and government sectors. At Wayfair, he developed the “Good Better Best” pricing model for restaurant equipment to enhance customer satisfaction. His honors thesis “Exploration of the MSLP Loans During the Pandemic,” identified millions of dollars in arbitrage opportunities related to the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston’s Main Street Lending Program, which he had reported the progress of and published analytics for on the Federal Reserve site.
