Alexandra Moyer Readey

Managing Director, Private Investment Portfolio Manager

Alexandra “Alex” Readey is a Managing Director at Cambridge Associates. She joined Cambridge Associates in 2006 and brings over 20 years of industry experience.

In her role, she focuses on private funds investing in venture capital, private equity, natural resources, infrastructure, and real estate, with a particular expertise in sustainability. Alex works with non-profit clients, including universities, foundations, and pension funds ranging in size from $140 million to $175 billion in assets. She works on investment issues such as asset allocation strategy, private investment program design and evaluation, and manager selection.

Alex serves on the firm’s Real Assets Investment Committee and is a founding member of the firm’s Sustainable and Impact Investing Group, which facilitates the expansion of the firm’s knowledge of institutional quality managers. She frequently presents on private investments at graduate schools and industry conferences.

Prior to joining Cambridge Associates, Alex was an analyst for a large-cap growth fund at BSAM. Prior to business school, Alex worked in equity research at Thomas Weisel Partners in New York, where she covered healthcare information technology and services companies.

Alex serves on the Investment Committees of United Nations-backed NGO Crop Trust, whose mission is securing food globally, and the Crystal Springs Uplands School. She also volunteers with local civic organizations.

Alex received her MBA from Harvard Business School and her BA from the University of California at Berkeley, where she earned the Phi Beta Kappa honor society designation. She is a member of the National Futures Association (Series 3) and earned the Series 7 and 63.
