Alex Koriath, CFA

Head of Pension Practice, Europe

Alex Koriath is a Partner and the Head of the European Pension Practice at Cambridge Associates. He also heads Cambridge Associates’ Munich Office.

Alex oversees the firm’s business with pension and insurance clients across Europe and is responsible for growing CA’s continental European business. He also leads client teams advising or managing portfolios in private markets and hedge funds. Alex advises clients on strategy, risk management and portfolio constructions. Alex draws on over two decades of experience incorporating private investments into investors’ strategies to help his clients reach their long-term targets. He is a voting member of Cambridge Associates’ global Infrastructure Co-Investment Investment Committee.

In addition to his work as an investor, Alex has a passion for educating in the area of investments and finance. He is a lecturer in Corporate Financial Management at HdBW Munich and has been a part-time teacher of Finance at the London School of Economics. He also sits on the CFA Society UK’s Exams and Education Committee.

Prior to joining CA, Alex was Head of Manager Research for KPMG’s investment advisory team. Before his time at KPMG, Alex worked with Hewitt Bacon & Woodrow and Allianz Insurance Group.

Alex received his MSc in Finance and Accounting from the London School of Economics and his BA (Hons) from Portsmouth Business School. He is also a CFA® charterholder.
