Improving Quality of Life in Papua New Guinea
PNG Sustainable Development Program
In 2001, after the Ok Tedi environmental disaster, the Papua New Guinea Sustainable Development Program (PNG SDP) was formed to benefit local communities in Papua New Guinea’s Western Province region. The mining company responsible for the disaster relinquished its profits to the people of PNG, and the program set out to manage the funds to advance healthcare, education, infrastructure, economic initiatives, and overall living standards for residents.
For nearly a decade, we have been a proud investment partner to PNG SDP. As a result of improved investment performance, PNG SDP’s long-term fund has grown to $1.7 billion, enabling them to direct significant capital to Western Province programs.
Providing Accessible Education for Students
Saint Ignatius College Prep
Saint Ignatius College Prep is a coed Jesuit Catholic school in the heart of Chicago that strives to provide a diverse student body with a high-quality—and financially accessible—education. In the 2022–2023 school year, they provided more than $6 million dollars in tuition assistance to students who would not otherwise be able to afford it.
When planning for their future, the Endowment Committee decided to prioritize emerging managers and re-assess their portfolio across each asset class. Utilizing CA’s diverse manager research capabilities and advisory services, Saint Ignatius created a policy specific to their goals, resulting in competitive returns.
