Cambridge Associates Named Best Place to Work for LGBTQ+ Equality

Cambridge Associates

Investment Firm Earns Perfect Score in HRC’s 2021 Corporate Equality Index

BOSTON, January 28, 2021 – Global investment firm Cambridge Associates (CA) has earned the designation as a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation.  HRC’s Corporate Equality Index (CEI) is the national benchmarking tool on corporate policies, practices and benefits pertinent to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) employees. Cambridge Associates’ inclusive culture, employee benefits, responsible citizenship and workplace protections have earned the firm a perfect score of 100.

The CEI is regarded as the leading standard for corporate policies and practices relating to LGBTQ+ employees and their families. The index examines LGBTQ-related policies and practices, including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, workplace inclusion, diversity training programs, and public engagement with and support of the LGBTQ+ community.

“Over the last year, it has become clearer than ever that we must each be very dedicated to creating safe, inclusive and supportive spaces for all,” said David Druley, Chief Executive Officer of Cambridge Associates. “I could not be prouder of receiving this designation by the Human Rights Campaign as it reflects the culture we have built at Cambridge Associates. To best serve our community and our clients, we must be committed to creating an environment and an industry that rejects discrimination and welcomes all voices and all talent.”

Cambridge Associates’ corporate social responsibility philosophy states that it is the firm’s mission and obligation to create and provide access to opportunities and support success in the communities it serves. CA does that, in part, by ensuring people with diverse backgrounds, ethnicities, and life experiences join and then thrive at the firm and across the industry at large.

Achieving CEI excellence was a result of partnership between CA Pride, an employee resource group representing LGBTQ+ employees, and the firm’s executive leadership team. CA Pride is dedicated to establishing Cambridge Associates as a leader on initiatives to improve the workplace environment and professional development of LGBTQ+ colleagues, and addressing issues affecting opportunity for members of the LGBTQ+ community, as well as their health and well-being. CA is also home to two parallel employee resource groups dedicated to representing women and ethnically diverse colleagues.

The Human Rights Campaign Foundation is the educational arm of America’s largest civil rights organization working to achieve equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual transgender and queer people. HRC envisions a world where LGBTQ people are embraced as full members of society at home, at work and in every community.
