Omar Sánchez

Partner, Endowment & Foundation Practice

Omar Sánchez is a Partner for the Endowment & Foundation Practice at Cambridge Associates.

Omar joined the firm in 2008 and has more than 16 years of investment experience. His role includes managing portfolios for universities and private foundations. He also serves as an OCIO and develops overall portfolio strategy, sets the team’s investment due diligence priorities, and approves all investment decisions in portfolios.

Prior to joining Cambridge Associates, Omar was a senior analyst at First Marblehead Corporation, conducting financial and operational analyses and managing the company’s day-to-day activities for several clients’ loan programs.

Before business school, Omar was a project manager in Peru for IRI, a non-profit that provides political development training programs to foreign governments and is funded by the National Endowment for Democracy and US Agency for International Development.

Omar received his MBA from Boston College and his BA in Political Science and Spanish, magna cum laude, from Colby College.
