David Thurston

David Thurston is a Managing Director at Cambridge Associates.

David oversees more than $20 billion in assets including $10 billion in private investments and hedge funds. Throughout his more than four-decade career at Cambridge Associates, he has overseen portfolios for a variety of institutional investors, including non-profit organizations, private clients, and retirement plans.

As an expert in both private equity and hedge funds, David has authored and co-authored multiple papers while at Cambridge Associates.

David worked as a budget officer for the Brown University Medical Program and the Consortium on Financing Higher Education (COFHE), prior to attending Harvard Business School.

David received his MBA from Harvard Business School and his BA from Brown University.
