Simon is co-head of the European Endowment & Foundation Practice. Simon has more than 20 years of investment experience and has been with the firm since 2005. He currently works with a number of university, foundation, pension, and social institution clients in the UK and the Middle East, ranging in size from £16 million to over £30 billion. Simon coordinated the firm’s first UK Endowments & Foundations Roundtable, and co-authored a research report on Austrian economics and disaster hedging entitled Austrian Economics – An Alternative View of the Credit Crisis.
Before Simon joined Cambridge Associates, he was Head of European Research and Head of the European Equity Team at Baring Asset Management. Prior to that, he was a portfolio manager of Asian equities and Deputy Head of International Investment at the fund management firm IAI International, where he managed equity assets for US public and corporate pension schemes. Simon has also worked as a portfolio manager for Scottish Widows and Schroders, and as an Asian equity strategist for the Japanese investment bank, Daiwa Securities. Simon received an MSc in Finance from the London Business School and graduated from Selwyn College, University of Cambridge.
