Press Release January 2016

Cambridge Associates Announces Executive Promotions

BOSTON (January 6, 2016) – Global institutional investment advisor Cambridge Associates announced three senior-level promotions that are effective in January 2016.

“We are delighted to elevate three individuals who have demonstrated the leadership and investment capabilities that will help us continue to anticipate and serve the needs of our clients as our business expands,” said Cambridge Associates Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Sandra A. Urie.

David Druley, who joined Cambridge Associates in 2003, has become President and Head of Global Investments, a new position, Urie said. In this role, he will oversee the firm’s advisory and consulting practices and research operations. Druley was previously head of the firm’s global pension practice.

Noel O’Neill, who has been with the firm since 1995, has assumed the position of Head of Global Investment Research. In his work with clients as Managing Director, he demonstrated success at identifying new and emerging managers for his clients, Urie said. David Thurston, who had overseen research on an interim basis, has returned to his senior role serving clients.

Steven W. Nelson, formerly Head of Portfolio Services, is now Chief Operating Officer, Urie said. He has been at the firm since 1998. In his new position, he will oversee the firm’s administrative and operational capabilities, among other client and management responsibilities.

Related to these promotions, David Shukis, who began his Cambridge Associates career in 1989, and who has most recently served as Head of Global Investment Services, announced that he will retire on June 30, 2016, Urie said. In addition, Scott Berney, who has been at the firm for 14 years as Chief Operating Officer and most recently President, decided to leave the firm at the end of 2015.

“We will miss David and Scott, are deeply appreciative of their dedication and valuable work and wish them the very best,” Urie said.

She added, “Cambridge Associates is fortunate to have a dynamic organization that grows organically and cultivates the kind of strong talent that our sophisticated and expanding client base deserves.”
