Charles Somerset is a Managing Director for the Endowment & Foundation Practice at Cambridge Associates.

Charles has been an investor at the firm for nearly 10 years and has experience working with a broad range of endowed and grant-making institutions, with assets ranging up to £1.5 billion. His work involves partnering with key decision makers on investment issues including policy formulation, asset allocation, and manager selection.

In addition to his work as an investor, Charles is involved as a guest speaker and mentor on programs focused on promoting and supporting underrepresented groups in the investment community.

Prior to joining Cambridge Associates, Charles worked for venture capital firm Loudwater Partners, where he was responsible for managing investment transactions and representing the firm on the boards of portfolio companies. Charles also worked as a consultant for Accenture.

Charles received his MBA from the University of Cambridge and his BSc in Economics and Politics from University of Bristol. He is a CFA® charterholder.
