Minesh Mashru, Global Head of Infrastructure at Cambridge Associates, sat down with a reporter at Infrastructure Investor to discuss what was one of the most active co-investment dealflow years.

“Infrastructure is still relatively nascent, which means that many investors are still underweight here, and it is a defensive sector that can generate strong returns to compensate for lack of liquidity,” says Mashru.  However, underwriting is incredibly complex, especially for co-investments in infrastructure, so working with trusted partners that understand the downside risks is crucial.
