Partner, Endowment & Foundation Practice

Eric Thornton is a Partner for the Endowment & Foundation Practice at Cambridge Associates.

Eric joined Cambridge Associates in 1996 and has over 3o years of experience. He invests on behalf of endowments, foundations, and other non-profit organizations, ranging in size from $100 million to more than $5 billion. Eric manages customized portfolios for his clients both as an OCIO and in a non-discretionary capacity, focusing on asset allocation, manager selection, investment program evaluation, and governance.

Prior to joining Cambridge Associates, Eric spent five years at Willamette Management Associates, where he specialized in the valuation of privately held companies, conducting valuations of businesses across several industry groups related to corporate transactions, employee stock ownership plans, and litigation.

Eric received his BS from University of Richmond. He is a CFA® charterholder.
