Christopher Houston is the Head of Private Wealth Strategies & Family Office Services for the Private Client Practice and a Partner at Cambridge Associates.
Christopher joined Cambridge Associates in 2013. He helps our global investment teams, clients, and their advisors understand various tax and other considerations relevant to their structures, portfolios, and underlying asset classes, investments, and vehicles. Christopher also shares knowledge and best practices with clients and their advisors on investment pooling structures, portfolio implementation, tax, trust, and estate planning opportunities, governance and succession, and family office services.
As a thought leader throughout his career, Christopher has spoken at leading industry conferences and authored various papers on tax, trust, and other matters.
Prior to joining Cambridge Associates, Christopher served as counsel in the Private Client Group of Ropes & Gray, a global law firm. There, Christopher provided sophisticated tax, trust, estate, and financial planning advice to a range of individuals, families, and institutions in the US and abroad, while also serving as a trustee and being actively involved in the investment management of substantial fiduciary assets.
In addition, Christopher has served on various town boards and committees, including the Weston Select Board and Finance Committee.
He received his J.D. from the University of Chicago, his PhD in Psychology from the University of Virginia, and his A.B. from Princeton University. Christopher is a CFA® charterholder.
