Ming Yan

Managing Director

Ming Yan is a Managing Director at Cambridge Associates, serving as an OCIO and lead investment advisor to institutional and family office clients including endowments, pensions, family offices, and foundations.

Ming has worked with clients totaling over $20 billion in assets, implementing investments across private and public asset classes. Originally based in Boston, Ming relocated to Singapore in 2023 and is responsible for managing multi-asset portfolios for clients based in Asia.

Ming represents Cambridge Associates as a speaker at various leading industry investment conferences, and she is the author of thought pieces on pension liability-hedging strategies and private investing for pensions. She is a member of the firm’s Public Growth Research Investment Committee and Diverse Manager Council.

Ming began her investment career as an investment banking analyst in the Global Technology Group at UBS Investment Bank. She was an early member of the secondaries investment team at AlpInvest Partners in New York, where she invested capital on behalf of the firm’s secondary fund.

Ming received her MBA from Harvard Business School and her BA, summa cum laude, from Wellesley College. In addition to English, Ming speaks Mandarin and Shanghai dialect.
