Dr. Raffaele Dell’Amore

Investment Managing Director, Global Head ILS Research

Dr. Raffaele Dell’Amore is an Investment Managing Director at Cambridge Associates AG.

Raffaele is based in our Zurich office and has more than 15 years of experience in various roles and responsibilities across the reinsurance and asset management industry. He is responsible for the ILS research and manager selection at Cambridge and with that designs possible ILS strategies and portfolios that may be adapted to different clients needs and market circumstances. For some Swiss institutional or professional clients and related ILS mandates Raffaele assumes the roles of CIO/ Lead Advisor.

Previously, Raffaele Dell’Amore was the Head of the ILS Competence Center and Partner at SIGLO Capital Advisors AG (SIGLO), a Zurich-based investment advisor specializing in alternative investments such as ILS, private debt, drawdown management and impact investing. In November 2024, SIGLO was acquired by Cambridge Associates.

Raffaele started his career in 2009 at SCOR, modelling the natural catastrophe risks and managing related capital requirements at Group level. From 2011 to 2013, he worked at Deloitte AG Switzerland, advising large global and Swiss reinsurance and insurance corporates on Solvency II and Swiss Solvency Test requirements, respectively. He then joined Schroder-Secquaero Capital Advisors (today Schroders Capital ILS), serving as a Fund Manager for liquid and private ILS strategies, before moving to Twelve Capital AG as Head of private ILS Strategies. He joined SIGLO in 2020 and became Partner in 2021.

He holds a PhD in solid state physics from the University of Zurich (2009) and studied physics at ETH Zurich.

Raffaele speaks German, English, Italian and French.
