Managing Director, Endowment & Foundation Practice
Julia Clay is a Managing Director for the Endowment & Foundation Practice at Cambridge Associates.
Julia joined Cambridge Associates in 2012 and has over 20 years of investment experience. She serves as an Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO) on behalf of a range of mission-aligned organizations, including foundations, secondary schools, universities, and other non-profits. In her role as OCIO, Julia collaborates with her clients to develop and implement investment policy statements that set strategic objectives, return targets, and risk parameters aligned with institutional missions. She leads all aspects of multi-asset portfolio management, including strategic asset allocation, portfolio construction, and dynamic risk/liquidity management. Julia is a member of the Strategic Transformation Office working group on Manager Due Diligence and a frequent contributor to firmwide investment forums.
Prior to joining Cambridge Associates, Julia was a Vice President in institutional equity sales at Goldman Sachs & Co., where she was responsible for managing relationships with both marketable and alternative asset managers, and partnering with clients on equity, derivative, and asset allocation strategy and implementation.
Julia serves on the Vestry and Investment Committee for Church of the Redeemer, an Episcopal Church in MA. She is also a member of the Wellesley College Business Leadership Council.
Julia received her BA from Wellesley College and is a CFA® charterholder.
