Benjamin C. Buttrick, CFA

Managing Director, Client Engagement—Endowment & Foundation Practice

Ben Buttrick is a Managing Director of Client Engagement for the Endowment & Foundation Practice at Cambridge Associates.

Ben is responsible for ensuring clients have the appropriate service arrangements with the firm and that these services are being delivered effectively. He also spends a portion of his time advising clients on governance and organizational structure.

In prior roles at the firm, Ben has led client services and served as Managing Editor of the client newsletter, CA Perspectives.

Prior to joining Cambridge Associates in 2005, Ben was Director of Marketing Communications at Fidelity Investments Institutional Services, where he supported marketing efforts in the financial intermediary sales channels. He had previously held a variety of marketing and sales training positions at Fidelity. Ben began his career at Scudder, Stevens & Clark (now a division of Deutsche Bank) in a number of sales management and training roles.

Ben has been a member of the Finance Committee for Essex, Massachusetts since 2017 and served as Chair from 2019 through 2024. In addition, he serves on the Board of Directors and is Secretary for NF Northeast, a non-profit supporting scientific research to end neurofibromatosis and provide patient advocacy.

Ben received a BA in American Studies from Boston University and is a CFA® charterholder.
