Travis Schoenleber is the Head of Australia and New Zealand at Cambridge Associates.
Travis joined the firm in 2007 and has over 20 years of industry experience. From 2014 to 2025, he co-led the Sydney office and managed the Sydney-based investment team, responsibilities he continues to hold in his current role. He leads the firm’s work in Australia and New Zealand, overseeing client service, investment activity, and team management across the region. Travis also serves as an outsourced CIO (OCIO) for clients who delegate investment discretion and as an advisor to those who retain decision-making in-house. He manages or advises on more than AUD $20 billion in assets and has broad experience across asset classes, including direct, co-investments, and capacity-constrained private investments. His clients include superannuation funds, foundations, universities, and private clients, with portfolios ranging from AUD $300 million to $30 billion.
Prior to joining the firm, he was an Equities Analyst at the Employee Retirement Systems of Texas where he was responsible for individual company research, attribution analysis, and the Asia Property portfolio. Travis was also a Portfolio Manager with the MBA Investment Fund, L.L.C., where he managed three equity and fixed income portfolios with $16 million in total assets. Travis also has two years of mortgage and asset-backed underwriting experience at Wells Fargo.
Travis received his MBA from the University of Texas at Austin and his BA in Anthropology from Colorado State University. He has also earned the CFA, CAIA, and GAICD designations.
