Nick Werner is a Managing Director for the Private Client Practice at Cambridge Associates.
Nick has more than 22 years of experience as an investor. He works with a variety of private clients and endowments and specializes in private investment manager selection and portfolio construction. As an expert in private investments, Nick frequently presents at leading industry conferences. He is also a former Trustee and Chair of the Finance and Investment Committee at The Hamlin School.
Prior to joining Cambridge Associates in 2019, Nick served as Director of Investments and Interim President and Chief Investment Officer of the Berkeley Endowment Management Company (BEMCO). Joining BEMCO in 2010, he acted as its first Director of Investments where he helped manage approximately $2 billion in endowment assets held by the University of California, Berkeley Foundation. For the eight years prior to joining BEMCO, Nick worked at Ironwood Capital Management, where he most recently served as a Managing Director, Head of the Research Department, and as a member of the Investment and Management Committees. Nick began his career as an Analyst in the investment banking group at Bank of America Securities.
Nick is a CFA® charterholder. He received his MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and his BA from Dartmouth College.
