Edward O’Malley

Managing Director, Private Client Practice

Edward O’Malley is a Managing Director at Cambridge Associates.

Edward has almost 20 years of experience as an investor and has been with Cambridge Associates since 2001. Working for the Private Client Practice based in London, he oversees portfolios for several UK and European private clients with asset sizes ranging from $200 million to billions. Many of his clients have an environmental, social, and governance (ESG) orientation for their portfolio.

He also works with selected charities and foundations in the UK and Europe and acts as portfolio manager for several discretionary relationships advising clients on governance, investment strategy, portfolio construction, manager selection, and implementation. For other clients, Edward operates as a hedge fund specialist given his experience with that asset class.

Additionally, Edward allocates a meaningful part of his time to manager research, sourcing and evaluating new managers for our clients’ portfolios. He has also participated in the firm’s research efforts across diversifying strategies and has presented at industry conferences and family office roundtables.

Edward began his career at Cambridge Associates as a Consulting Analyst. Before joining Cambridge Associates, he worked in the business strategy unit of AXA Investment Managers.

He gained his Master of Arts in History from New College in Oxford, UK.
