Cecilia Tam

Head of Energy Investment Unit, International Energy Agency

Cecilia Tam is Head of the Energy Investment Unit at the International Energy Agency. She has held a number of leadership positions at the IEA including Head of the Energy Demand Unit and Special Advisor to the Executive Director since first joining the agency in 2006. From 2019 to March 2023, Cecilia led the development and implementation of the OECD’s Clean Energy Finance and Investment Mobilisation Programme that works with major emerging economies to improve finance for energy transitions. From 2015 to 2017, Cecilia was Special Advisor at the Asia Pacific Energy Research Centre in Tokyo where she was responsible for managing APERC’s research programme.
