Sean McLaughlin is a Managing Director and oversees Client Solutions for the Endowment & Foundation Practice at Cambridge Associates.
Sean has 25 years of investment industry experience and joined Cambridge Associates in 2005. His team builds relationships with new non-profit clients and engages with current clients to ensure that their partnership with Cambridge Associates is highly effective and evolves in parallel with the client institution.
Prior to joining the Endowment & Foundation Practice in 2020, Sean led a team of two dozen Cambridge Associates research professionals as Head of Capital Markets Research. He also served for many years on the firm’s ratings committees that govern the evaluation of individual private investment funds and real-assets managers.
Prior to joining Cambridge Associates, Sean was Global Director of Public and Media Relations at Lipper Inc., a Reuters Group subsidiary. Before joining Lipper, Sean oversaw the investor relations and communications functions for TheStreet.com, Inc., a financial news firm.
Sean received his BA from Colorado College. He is a CFA® charterholder.
