Sandra Urie
Chairman Emeritus

Sandy Urie is the Chairman Emeritus of Cambridge Associates, LLC. Until recently, she served as Cambridge Associates’ Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to assuming the CEO position in 2001, she was the Chief Operating Officer with responsibility for directing the firm’s global investment services. Prior to becoming the firm’s COO, Sandy was a member of the firm’s consulting staff.

Previously Sandy was a member of the faculty at Phillips Academy (Andover) where she taught Russian language, served on the Admissions Office staff and was responsible for capital fund raising, eventually assuming the position of Associate Secretary of the Academy overseeing the School’s annual giving and alumni programs.

She is currently Vice Chair of the Global Board of 100 Women in Hedge Funds, and serves on the Boards of Boston Symphony Orchestra, Boston Lyric Opera, Social Finance, Inc., Stanford Management Company, and The Plymouth Rock Company.

Sandy was an honoree at the National Council for Research on Women’s 2005 "Women Who Make a Difference" award ceremony. Sandy graduated from Stanford University and received an MPPM degree from the Yale School of Organization and Management. She has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.


David Druley, CFA
Chairman and CEO

David Druley is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Cambridge Associates. Previously David was President and Head of Global Investments where he oversaw the growth and development strategy for the firm’s dedicated practice areas, including its world-class research team. David was the founding leader of Cambridge’s pension practice, creating and implementing innovative portfolio management frameworks that have transformed Cambridge’s approach to investing. David also served as the Chief Investment Officer for retirement plan clients who required discretionary investment management.

David has over 20 years of hands-on investment experience, including founding his own investment management firm, Druley Investment Management, which he operated for nine years driving the portfolio construction and investment strategies for institutions and families. Mr. Druley holds a BBA and an MBA, both from The University of Texas, Austin.


Philip Walton
President and Head of the Private Client Group

Philip Walton is President of Cambridge Associates and the Head of the Private Client Practice. Since joining Cambridge in 1999, he has served a variety of private clients and institutional investors ranging in size from several hundred million to multi-billion dollars in assets. He is responsible for the construction and oversight of investment portfolios, advising on investment policy, asset allocation, manager selection and monitoring. He established the firm’s Single Investor Fund (SIF) service, providing a series of administrative services to enable certain clients to effectively build complex alternative asset portfolios.

Previously Philip was an investment banking associate at Donaldson, Lufkin, and Jenrette, with experience in their private fund group. He also served as vice president of Goodale Associates, a fund-raising consulting firm. Philip holds an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and a BA in International Affairs and Geology from Williams College.


Noel O’Neill
Head of Global Investment Research

Noel O’Neill is the Head of Global Investment Research and a Managing Director at Cambridge Associates. Noel drives the strategic direction for the firm’s research efforts, overseeing 150 professionals dedicated to evaluating institutional quality investment managers, and capital markets themes and trends. Noel drives collaboration among the leaders of the public growth, private growth, hedge funds, real assets, investment grade bonds, and market research teams to regularly publish reports that inform the firm’s investment strategies and client advisement. Noel is also a member of the Private Client Practice where he works with private clients, endowments, and pension funds based in the US, Europe, and the Middle East. His investor perspective influences the firm’s client-centric research strategy.

Prior to joining Cambridge in 1995, Noel was a Manager at Bain & Company, Inc. where he led strategy and operational change assignments for multinational corporations in the US, Europe, and Asia. Noel was a Mechanical Engineer with General Electric Power Systems division, managing gas turbine and combined cycle power plant construction and commissioning projects across the Middle East, North Africa, Venezuela, Indonesia, and Norway.


Steven Nelson
Chief Operating Officer

Steve Nelson is the Chief Operating Officer at Cambridge Associates. He manages the firm’s operational and administrative business functions, and oversees the firm’s flagship digital platform of investment office solutions, Optica, which aims to provide exceptional coverage of the global markets, contribute to more informed decision making, and drive superior investment performance. Prior to his current role, Steve was co-Director of the firm’s investment advisory practice, working closely with global office leaders in strategic planning, business development, and staffing. He played a similar role with the firm’s Mission-Related Investing (MRI) group.

After joining Cambridge in 1998, Steve relocated to Singapore in 2001 for over seven years to establish the firm’s presence in the Asia Pacific region. Steve has published several research reports, including Japanese Distressed Investing, Chinese Venture Capital, and Investing in Listed Chinese Equities. From 2002 to 2004, Steve was a member of the Financial Services Committee with the Singapore chapter of the American Chamber of Commerce and is currently a Trustee and member of the Finance Committee at the Loudoun Country Day School.


Deirdre Nectow
Head of Global Business Development

Deirdre Nectow is a Managing Director and the Director of Global Business Development at Cambridge Associates. She is responsible for driving the firm’s client relations, and marketing and corporate positioning strategies.

Before Deirdre joined Cambridge Associates in 2003, she spent seven years at Fidelity Investments where she held a variety of strategic marketing and consulting roles. Her most recent position was Senior Vice President of Marketing for the charitable services area, where she was responsible for marketing The Fidelity® Charitable Gift Fund and launching a private foundation business. Prior to Fidelity, she spent eight years as a strategy consultant at PwC and CSC Index, where she was responsible for developing strategic plans, market entry strategies, and organizational enhancements for financial services organizations. She also spent four years as a commercial lending officer at Bankers Trust Company.

Deirdre graduated cum laude from Mount Holyoke College with a BA in economics and received an MBA from the University of Chicago. She is an active fundraiser for several educational causes.


Sean Hanna
Chief Compliance Officer

Sean is the Chief Compliance Officer at Cambridge Associates and has been with the firm since 2009. As CCO, Sean is responsible for overseeing the firm’s compliance program.

Before joining Cambridge Associates, Sean served as in-house counsel at Liberty Square Asset Management where he was responsible for general legal and compliance matters. Sean began his compliance career as an analyst within the investment adviser compliance department of Fidelity Management and Research Company. Sean graduated from Trinity University with a BA in Economics, and holds a JD and MBA from Northeastern University.

Jason Roberts
Chief Technology Officer

Jason is the Chief Technology Officer at Cambridge Associates. In this role, he leads the information technology organization and functions.

Before Jason joined Cambridge Associates in 2014, he spent 15 years at Sapient Corporation. Most recently, he led Sapient’s Global Capital Markets practice where he was responsible for setting strategy and leading critical engagements with clients. Before taking on the practice leadership role, Jason was responsible for several key relationships with leading asset managers and hedge funds. His background includes leading IT and business consulting initiatives across multiple functions within the investment management process. Before joining Sapient, Jason worked for PriceWaterhouseCoopers and Accenture.

Jason graduated from University of Connecticut with a BS in Finance.


Susan Sieker
Chief Financial Officer

Susan is the Chief Financial Officer for Cambridge Associates. She joined the firm in 2012 as Head of Enterprise Risk & Audit and has more than 20 years of finance and risk leadership experience.

Before joining Cambridge Associates, Susan was a Vice President at Brinker International, a NYSE Fortune 1000 global company in Dallas, Texas. During her 11 years with Brinker, Susan served in a variety of finance and risk leadership roles, including as Vice President/Treasurer, Vice President Global Infrastructure, Vice President of Benefits, Vice President of Business Assurance (Enterprise Risk Management), and, initially, as Director of Internal Audit. Susan began her career with PricewaterhouseCoopers where she specialized in Financial Services and completed a 2-year international secondment to Brazil. Susan brings a decade of experience with a Big 4 professional service firm and a combined 20+ years working with global Fortune 1000 companies. Before relocating to the Boston area, Susan served on the Board of Trustees for Alcuin School in Dallas, Texas. During her tenure, she served on the Audit, Strategy, and Executive Committees and also as Vice President of the Board.

Susan graduated from Southern Methodist University with a BBA in Accounting. She is also a Certified Public Accountant and holds the CRMA (Certified in Risk Management Assurance) designation.
