Eric is the Global Head of the Hedge Funds Investment Group. Eric has 19 years of investment industry experience and has been with the firm since 2010. In his role, Eric oversees the research and evaluation of new and established hedge fund managers globally.
Prior to joining Cambridge Associates, Eric spent six years as a director and portfolio manager with Ramius Fund-of-Funds Group in New York. In his role, Eric led the firm’s event-driven research and managed event-driven fund-of-funds portfolios, focusing on distressed securities, activism, and merger arbitrage. He was also the co-head of long/short equity research and managed global long/short equity fund-of-funds portfolios. Prior to his position with Ramius Fund-of-Funds Group, he served five years as a vice president and analyst at Ramius Capital Group focused on event-driven strategies for various multi-strategy fund-of-funds portfolios. While at Ramius Capital Group he also served in marketing/investor relations and corporate finance roles. Prior to Ramius, Eric held positions as a portfolio administrator for State Street Boston and an assistant financial analyst for Titleist Footjoy Worldwide. Eric is a CFA Charterholder and received a BS in Finance from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth. He is proficient in Portuguese.
