André is a Partner in the Private Client Practice at Cambridge Associates.
André leads a team that has discretion over or actively advises on pools of assets for a variety of multi-national families, universities, foundations and pensions. His engagements expand across investment governance and strategy, portfolio construction, risk management, manager selection, and investment program evaluation. He has presented at industry conferences on topics such as investing in hedge funds, developing quantitative security selection and valuation models, and launching an investment firm. Additionally, he most recently authored a paper in June 2023 reflecting on his two decades worth of experience working with Family Offices titled, Simplifying Family Investment Portfolios.
André is a member of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Investment Committee of the Pine Street Inn, a non-profit organization that provides a range of services for homeless men and women. He also serves as a member of the Investment Committee for Lesley University.
Prior to joining Cambridge Associates, André was the Co-Founder and Portfolio Manager for both long-only and long-short strategies at Baker Investment Group. He also worked at Grantham, Mayo, Van Otterloo & Co., where he co-managed the domestic and international tax managed equity funds and was engaged in global asset allocation research and portfolio implementation. While earning his master’s degree, he worked at the Yale Investments Office under David Swensen.
André is a CFA® Charterholder. He received his MA in Public and Private Management from Yale University and his BA in Cognitive Science from Vassar College.
