Career Growth & Development
We have several entry-level opportunities for young professionals looking to gain experience in the financial services industry. You will have the opportunity to work with experienced investment professionals while working in a dynamic and collaborative team environment where intellectual curiosity and thought leadership is both encouraged and valued.
New analysts often participate in a multi-week, formalized training program that offers immediate exposure to senior management. We develop programs in a variety of innovative and challenging formats to guide you through your career. Analysts are formally evaluated as part of the firm’s semi-annual performance review process, which includes input from peers and managers.
Ongoing Career Growth
We offer a summer internship program for rising seniors to explore opportunities within departments including Global Investing, Data & Reporting, Global Business Development, Business Risk Management, and the Information Technology group. Interns will spend ten weeks with their designated department, during which time they will receive comprehensive training, dedicated mentors, access to firm management, and weekly professional development opportunities.
Analysts are at the core of everything we do at CA. From back-office operations to portfolio management, analysts have the opportunity to make a tremendous impact at the firm. We provide analysts with extensive training programs, dedicated mentors, and access to meetings with top-tier investment managers. This role allows colleagues to work alongside investment experts to help develop and foster broad exposure to asset classes and strategies. The firm also offers support for an analyst’s pursuit of CFA, CAIA, and other professional designations.
Leadership & Internal Opportunities
Analysts have regular access and support from senior management. Analysts also have the opportunity to join auxiliary teams, which allow them to extend their reach beyond daily client work and broaden their skillsets. Common auxiliary teams include: professional development, new-hire training, Excel, and finance-related groups.
A Culture of Collaboration
We value candidates with diverse backgrounds and expertise to preserve a culture of collaboration and thought leadership within the firm.
Professional Development & Training
New investment directors from every office participate in a two-week orientation program in Boston that introduces them to the firm’s groups, clients, and culture. Throughout the first four years of employment there is continual training on topics such as technical investment content, communications coaching, and leadership skills.
The majority of training takes place on-the-job. New investment directors are assigned an advisor to provide guidance and assist with on-the-job training. We hold an annual investment director conference, where directors from all offices gather offsite for several days to discuss important investment, client, and firm themes. All employees are formally evaluated as part of the firm’s semi-annual performance review process, which includes input from peers and managers.
Who We Hire
Key traits we look for in candidates include investment experience, a passion for the markets, curiosity and creativity to tackle investment challenges, eagerness to work with clients and colleagues, clear communication skills, and respect for the firm’s values.
Senior positions come with an attractive financial package including performance-based short- and long-term incentives.
