Indices
We compile the performance results for more than three-fourths of institutional-quality venture capital assets and nearly two-thirds of leveraged buyouts, subordinated debt, and special situations partnerships to publish Cambridge Associates U.S. Venture Capital Index® and the Cambridge Associates Private Equity Index®. Widely considered the industry standard, these indices report preliminary returns in Barron's Market Laboratory section and quarterly returns approximately 12-15 weeks following the close of each quarter.
Benchmark Tools
We developed the Private Equity Benchmark Calculator to enable investors to calculate internal rates of return (IRRs) and end-to-end returns for a customized universe of private equity and venture capital assets. With our Benchmark Calculator, users can tailor a benchmark specifically to their private equity program, by employing the tool’s extensive reporting and filtering capabilities to generate aggregate returns on both a fund and underlying company level. The web-based Cambridge Private Portfolio System (CPP System®) complements our non-marketable alternative assets performance reports and allows subscribers to run real-time calculations and create analyses of their alternative assets portfolios.
